"RESIST!" they shouted
"EQUALITY!" they wailed at the crowd but towards gauzed ears; they failed.
How can they hear when they only fear God's hell
while staring at the orange devil they worship as well?
The truth?! They belong under his power
getting tramped on & trumped; outclassed by a coward
Incited to violence by subpar tyrants -
to ward off the righteous and be bleak in silence
The hue of mankind is meant to shine- not to be hushed, not walk lightly
Not brushed aside by ignorance it's imminent we move spritely
The curse was made the day they were born but the righteous just keep singing their song
"THE REVOLUTION SHALL BE TELEVISED! STOP THE VIOLENCE TO CHANGE OUR LIVES! IT'S OUR BIRTHRIGHT, WE SHALL NOT HIDE! FROM THE DEPTHS OF YOUR HELL, WE WILL RISE!"
We will brighten our futures while they cling to the shadows of the past
We respond to cruelty with courage for our freedom is older than any flag
If this is the home of the brave,
why do we see so many slaves?
We must reclaim our dignity and unlearn the oppressors ways
