On Resistance

A growth
A stolen inward glance
A cultivation of understanding;
complete coming-together
Nurturing
A song, a dance, a smile
A laugh
A baby's borning cry
and its absence
A mother's mourning cry
and its absence
The inner silence of self
The noise of living
A planting of seeds
And a cleansing of space,
fiery and hot and wild
Untamed and bursting
An unwillingness to accept;
A hope
A search for more, for love
(A love that surely exists)
A learning
A listening
An embrace
Coming face to face with what you Are Not,
But could be (and ultimately are)
An ongoing journey – not to an end
But to a new beginning
Light moving through the leaves
